Important Information: Fall 2024 Registration Advising

The Fall 2024 Schedule of Classes Goes Live March 25th!

It's that time of year again, registration advising for Fall 2024 is nearly upon us! This morning all students received an email regarding the advance registration period. Please find essential information about Global Studies advising below- be sure to read this entire message carefully as we outline the advising process for Fall 2024 registration clearance.

It is required that ALL Global Majors meet with program coordinator, Grace Castle to have the Registration Hold lifted from their accounts to register for fall courses.  (CLICK HERE FOR APPOINTMENTS)

The fall schedule of classes will become available on 25 March. For the best use of your time, it is recommended that all students book their registration advising appointment after March 25th.

Registration for all undergraduates will begin in April. For the earliest date and time you will be eligible to register for your courses, visit  (https://registrar.umbc.edu/calendars/registration-appointments/). Receiving clearance prior to the date indicated will ensure that students will be able to register on the day and time specified.

If you are graduating this May, you do not need to reserve an appointment. If you are currently studying abroad or intend to be this fall, please contact Ms. Castle directly when you are directed to complete your VOT form by the Education Abroad office.

Registration advising will be delivered in a hybrid format, with in-person, on-campus, and virtual appointments available.
Appointments:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: In-person, on-campus* in FAB 550
          Thursday/Friday: Virtual Only

    * Any appointment spot can be reserved for a virtual meeting, any day of the week. If you are making a reservation for M-W and you want to meet virtually, please indicate as such in the memo of your booking.

Please do not hesitate to email castle@umbc.edu or stop by FAB 550 should you have any questions.

Thank you for your attention!
